Using a mortar and pestle crushes ingredients, rather than cutting them like a food processor, unleashing their full flavor. There's a reason mortar and pestles have been used around the globe for thousands of years! The included mortar holds up to 6.75 ounces and features high walls to keep the mashing from escaping and causing a mess. The pestle is 5 inches long and features an ergonomic design for easy use. Both the mortar and pestle were masterfully crafted from sustainable Moso bamboo. To clean, simply hand wash with warm water and soap then towel dry. Do not wash in the dishwasher or soak in the sink.
